About Us

Equal Health Care Foundation (EHCF) is a newly established non-profit organization committed to eradicating cervical cancer in Namibia and beyond.

We believe that every woman deserves access to life-saving screening and treatment services, regardless of their location or economic status.

Our Mission:

EHCF’s mission is clear: to provide accessible and affordable cervical cancer screening and treatment services to women in Namibia, with the ultimate goal of creating a cervical cancer-free nation. We are dedicated to reaching every corner of Namibia and expanding our efforts to the broader Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.

Our Approach:

EHCF employs a comprehensive approach to combat cervical cancer, focusing on both primary and secondary prevention mechanisms:

Primary Prevention Mechanisms.

- Immunization: Encouraging HPV vaccination to prevent infection. - Education: Promoting safe sexual practices and raising awareness about cervical cancer. - Counseling: Providing counseling to at-risk individuals.

Secondary Prevention Mechanisms

- Screening: Utilizing various techniques such as Cytology, HPV DNA tests, and Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid to detect precancerous lesions. - Treatment of Precancerous Lesions: Offering low-cost and highly effective treatment options like Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). - Treatment of Invasive Cervical Cancer: Providing comprehensive treatment options such as surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

Impact:

EHCF’s impact is already evident in the lives of countless women across Namibia. With our focused efforts, we aim to:
